Our Facilities

Camp Kokoda has 6 self-sufficient campsites, each containing a bush-style shelter with a
kitchen that has a gas stove top, solar powered lights and fridge, composting toilets, fire pit and drinking water.

Each campsite has the option of 3 man tents or group sized bivis to camp out in.

Our lower campsite at base offers the opportunity to utilise the 6 cabins we have, sleeping a total of 24 with 4 people to a cabin.

Our property has an amazing tranquil atmosphere with a great community feel.

Safety

Safety is the utmost priority of all Camp Kokoda’s programs, whether it be on or offsite. There is an element of perceived risk in many activities however our professional instructors are there to ensure all safety measures are demonstrated and performed.

Our activities and activity equipment undergo stringent safety measures and are regularly maintained to meet industry standards.

Camp Kokoda has a Covid Safe plan and campers (and staff will) engage in increased handwashing and use of hand sanitizer upon arrival, departure, before and after eating, before and after bathroom use, and between activities as well as equipment being sanitised in between uses.

Catering

Camp Kokoda is renowned for our wide range of fresh and healthy menu options that tick all of the nutritional boxes – and are delicious! We cater for all dietary requirements including vegetarians, celiac, gluten free and lactose intolerance.

Students have input into choosing their menu selection as well as having the opportunity to be responsible for the preparation, cooking and clean up.

For many, this in itself is a novel experience.
